Tip #21: Hide The Hard
One of the things I see more than ever and it always raises the hair on my neck is watching someone run to a side with out shooting and leave their gun fully exposed and in the wrong hand. Running, sliding, diving with your gun in your off hand is definitely not an easy thing to learn, but it is a MUST.
Point A: As your running your body protects your gun. Your body is more likely going to take a “bounce” rather than your gun.
Point B: If you were to see someone to shoot and needed to stop immediately and pull your gun up to shoot at them, you are already prepared with the gun in the proper hand, and you are able to swing it to your shoulder and continue to run or stand still with out turning or losing balance.
Point C: The momentum of your body coming down to the ground as you slide/dive is more naturally supported by the opposing arm/hand because it bends and folds the way your body is moving.
Point D: You look way sweeter
Take some time and practice it, start of slow, and then gradually build speed.
