Tip #23: Their Side is Your Side
If you are ever at an event early, or watch a professional team walk/study the field in the prior minutes to their match, you may observe them walking around every bunker even the corners looking at what would appear to be their teammates bunkers. However that is far from what is going on in their minds.
It is very important to know every part, angle, and effectiveness of each bunker. You may not realize it but that center bunker on your 30 yard line in the center may be one excellent bunker to hold down a lane and slow the opposing team down, but it may also be an extremely powerful game closing bunker on the other teams 80yard line.
You have to learn that bunkers serve more than just a purpose of protecting you from paint. Each bunker can almost be labeled in its own way. Some are better for protection, closing games, holding games, doubling up, up and overs, stutter steps, quick bumps, by passes, and even bounce shots.
So the next time your walking the field before your event, look at each bunker, walk around it, use your arms to move it around and see if just by giving it a little nudge will it change the whole way its played.
Best of luck Think outside the box, and play some ball!
